Welcome to our Cancer Services pages. These
provide information about the services we offer and points of contact,
however, your first port of call should always be your GP or your Keyworker
(this is usually your Clinical Nurse Specialist and you will be advised of
their contact details at your first meeting with them) if you are worried
about any aspect of your health.
We offer a full range of Cancer treatments and investigations at various sites
around the Trust. For specific information about your cancer and your team,
see the Cancer services directory - click here>>
Most of your care would be provided at your local
hospital, however, if you need radiotherapy, this is currently provided at
one of two Cancer Centres: Sussex Cancer Centre in Brighton and Kent
Oncology Centre in Maidstone. This is because radiotherapy is delivered on
machines called Linear Accelerators, which are currently based at these
centres. We are currently working on plans to provide linear accelerators at
Eastbourne District General Hospital. |
