What will it mean for you?
Local people of East Sussex can register as members of this new organisation. Membership allows local people to have ownership of their NHS Foundation Trust. We want to ensure that members come from all the areas served by the trust, not just the major towns.
If you become a member, you can:
- Learn more about how your hospitals and the wider NHS work.
- Become involved in plans for future development of services.
- You can vote to elect the Council of Governors and stand for election as a Governor yourself.
The Council of Governors will work closely with the Board of Directors, representing the views of local people and organisations to ensure the hospital provides the best possible services for patients.
The Trust’s Board of Directors will continue to provide overall direction and leadership and ensure that the organisation fulfils its legal obligations.
